Hola! I just returned home from the International Environmental Film Festival in Barcelona! I met some great people who are bringing environmental stories to light with films from all over the world, but never forgetting to enjoy tapas (food), vino tinto and cafe!
I saw Gigantes de Valdes, an Argentinian film about tourism that threatened a small village in Patagonia. And HOME, the visual stunner from Luc Besson, directed by the renowned photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand. Watch it here!! You will lose your breath in awe... our planet is the most amazing thing in existence, other than my boyfriend of course...
My favorite new thing to do is called "sobre mesa". Lingering after a great lunch talking about life, politics, everything, over spanish wine or tea... sometimes it lasts hours. Try it, you'll like it.
The festival supported my area of activism, Environmental Justice. They held a panel on the subject, showed my film 3 times, and honored me with their award for environmental activism.
With a trip to the Costa Brava, and a stay at an eco bed and breakfast in the Pyranees, it was a perfect trip. Enjoy some pics I took, and decide what more you can do to save the humans. Really, that's what we are doing, not the planet. She will be fine once she eliminates the destructive elements living on her... but that's another blog...
CHECK OUT OUR ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE PROMO!! CBE is a great organization in LA working hard for all of us....
